    Egyptian Towels
There are towels and then there are Egyptian towels. If you want the best quality towels then you want these. Egypt are recognised around the world for their towels and I want to explain why that is.

I think by calling them 'Egyptian towels' then it is given away a bit. Would you put your name to something if you didn't believe in the quality of the product? Of course not. The Egyptians have done this and this must mean that they have a certain level of confidence in them.

Have you ever thought about why Egyptian towels are better than others? Well it is primarily down to the materials. The towels are made from cotton and the cotton that they produce in Egypt is different from the rest of the world as it is a lot thinner.

The Egyptians are quite lucky that their cotton is thinner. This means that the towel will be able to take more cotton than towels that are made from other cotton types. This will give it a higher quality feel.

It is this feel that no other country around the world can replicate. This gives them a huge competitive advantage which at the moment looks unbreakable. It is because of this that they are likely to be at the forefront of the industry for sometime.

So what does this mean for the price? Will it be higher? The answer is generally yes. Well actually, when you go through the logic it makes a lot of sense. The thinner thread in Egyptian towels means they use more of it as we have already said. As you are using more of the materials the cost of producing it also is higher.

There are many things that we should thank the Egyptians for. They have made advances in civilization and we still have the pyramids as a symbol of that. We also have Egyptian cotton towels so that we can dry ourselves in luxury.

    Deep Fitted Sheets
I can't believe that you ever thought that you would be reading a post about deep fitted sheets, but I want to tell you a story about an incident that happened to me recently. I had to buy some sheets for my bed and not everything went to plan.

I will introduce the story by telling you a little about me. I am a male in my late twenties and live with my girlfriend. She is pregnant which means that I have to pull my weight a little more around the house. I hate shopping but that is one of the things that my girlfriend wants me to help out with. She asked me to go and get some bed sheets recently but unlike she claims, I was never told about extra deep fitted sheets.

OK, so simple enough task I think you will agree. So down to the shops I went. I bought some sheets thinking I was doing everything right. I picked a colour that was similar to what we had but a slight change for variety. Also made sure I had the size for a double bed.

I decided that it would be a nice surprise for my girlfriend if I changed our old sheets and put the new set on. I thought that changing the sheets would also be easy but when I tried to get the new sheets on they wouldn't fit. The sheets were just too small even though they were for a double bed. They weren't big enough for the mattress.

I was sitting at home just before my girlfriend came back and I though it would be nice to put the new sheets on the bed. I thought I would get some brownie points. I got the new sheets out but I couldn't get them over the mattress, it was too big. I tried again but it was no use, I just couldn't do it.

The bed was still a complete mess buy the time my girlfriend came back. She asked what was going on and told me how stupid I was. She said that I should've bought the deep fitted sheets like she had told me. I am sure that she never told me!

Now if you don't want to return the sheets back to the shop in exchange for some deep fitted sheets (like me!), I would advise that you check the depth of your mattress before you go shopping.

    Extra Large Beach Towels
Have you ever made a wrong choice when deciding to take small or large beach towels on holiday? I am sure that you have never been 100% sure of which type of towel to take with you. I aim to help you be more confident with your decision so that you feel you have it right next time.

Ok so what are the advantages of large beach towels? The first one is the use on the sun beds. Who can find a towel that actually can cover the sun bed on the beach? You know the feeling. You get there for the first time. You head to the beach and you pay a lot for the sun bed. You get on but have to cramp up so that your legs don't touch the burning hot surface.

Just before we carry on, how many times have you actually had a towel that fitted the lounger? Not very many. Unless someone is using one of those extra large beach towels then it is unlikely. In these circumstances then it may be beneficial to take multiple standard sizes instead. This will give you more flexibility.

Now what other things do you need to consider when thinking about the different sizes of towels? Well the first is price. The small or standard size towels are often less expensive. If you are budgeting then think about getting one of these instead of a big one.

You should also consider the colour of the towel that you take with you. This isn't just about fashion (although you may want to pick your favourite colour). You should go for a colour that is practical, you don't want one that will attract bugs or one that will start to look old and dirty.

Before you make up your mind just imagine the feeling of wrapping up in one of those ultra soft large beach towels. Surely that must be better than a standard one.
